Sometimes we really want to shout our customers. Several famous celebrities have brought our baby toys, but in the interests of their privacy, we have not published their details without their permission.
Our Privacy Notice explains in detail the types of personal data we may collect about you when you interact with us. It also explains how we’ll store and handle that data, and keep it safe.
We know that there’s a lot of information here, but we want you to be fully informed about your rights, and how Little Sport Star uses your data.

Who is Little Sport Star?
Before we explain how we will treat your data, let us tell you about Little Sport Star. Little Sport Star is part of Zoom Strategies Ltd. Ltd stands for limited because it is an English company, registered in England.
When we started the company, we needed to buy a company. There was a company called Zoom Strategies, which was for sale and so we bought it. Simply, we liked the sound of the word Zoom and a company called Zoom was available to buy at the time.
So, Little Sport Star is part of Zoom Strategies Ltd. It is quite common for companies to trade under a different name, but we want to make this perfectly clear.
Little Sport Star is a registered trademark. We used to be called Little Champ. We had to change it as we thought that Little Champ sounded to similar to another company and could potentially cause a problem in the long term.
We are present in various forms of social media, such as facebook, instagram, pinterest, google. We sometime run multiple pages within any one form of social media, which allows us to test different awareness material on our followers. Our goal is always to produce relevant material for our family and if you feel that our social media is no longer relevant to your family, we suggest you un-like or unfollow etc. It is entirely normal – your baby will only be a baby for a very short time.
For simplicity throughout this notice, ‘we’ and ‘us’ means Little Sport Star, our baby toys, including our activity gym and play mats.
Are we allowed to collect your data?
At the moment, the UK is part of the EU where the privacy laws have recently been updated. Arguably, these are some of the strictest policies in the world. We support a high standard of privacy rule but we believe it is in our interests to find the right balance between your privacy and our marketing efforts.
The law on data protection sets out a number of different reasons for which a company may collect and process your personal data, and we intend to respect them.
In specific situations, we can collect and process your data with your consent. When collecting your personal data, we’ll always make clear to you which data is necessary in connection with a particular service.
In some cases, we need your personal data to comply with our contractual obligations, such as asking for your address to arrange a delivery. Rest assured, we won’t sell your address or try to seek gain by collecting your contact details, other than trying to keep you happy as a customer.

Our aim is to surpass the rules and regulations. We expect our data policy to meet the highest standards and in the event that we are ever called by the regulatory authorities to present our data policy, it is our intention that we go further than the minimum requirement of the law.
Our business interest
When do we need your personal data?
Running an online business, there are actually lots of reasons we need your data. It is entirely normal for an online business to ask for your address, so that we can send your order.
We appreciate the word “data” sounds a little scary. Often it is just the information we need to be able to communicate with you and to send you your order. We need data:

- When you make an online purchase and check out as a guest (in which case we just collect transaction-based data).

- When you engage with us on social media.

What sort of data do we collect?
If you have previously set up an account with us, we will have your name, gender, date of birth, billing/delivery address, orders and receipts, email and telephone number.
If we know the age of your baby, we may make a note so that we send you age appropriate toy updates.
Details of your shopping preferences, or your favourite sports.
Details of the relationship to the intended recipient. For example, if you are a grandparent, godparent of buying for a baby shower.
Details of your visits to our websites or apps, and which site you came from to ours.
Personal details which help us to recommend items of interest.
Your social media username, if you interact with us through those channels, to help us respond to your comments, questions or feedback.
Why does Little Sport Star use your personal data?
We want to engage with our customers that want to engage with us, and let customers who want to be left alone, to be left alone. One way to achieve that is to understand picture who you are by combining the data we have about you. Has your baby been born yet, are you buying a gift for a baby shower, is your baby one month old, two month old or three months.
We can use this to offer you promotions and products that are most likely to interest you. If you are a basketball fan, we will send you information about our basketball baby toys. Likewise, if you have expressed an interest in baseball, we may send you details of a promotion on our baseball baby toys.
We believe it is in the interest of our customers to provide the highest levels of service and tailored service for your interests.
In order to respond to your queries, refund requests and complaints we need the information you sent to enable us to respond. We may also keep a record of these for reference in future correspondence. We do this on the basis of our contractual obligations to you, our legal obligations and our legitimate interests in providing you with the best service and understanding how we can improve our service based on your experience.
In some cases, we may be able to detect fraud and other illegal activities if your behaviour online becomes erratic or strange. For example, you might think our toys are the best baby toys, but we will watch to see that your purchasing behaviour is normal. It is also in our interests to make sure you get a good price so if you want to order multiple toys, please contact us! We’ll do all of this as part of our interest to keep you happy.
Of course, you are free to opt out of hearing from us at any time. Just send us an e-mail or chat to us through the website.
We may wish to send you survey and feedback requests to help improve our services. We like to hear from our customer – did you baby enjoy our all sport baby activity gym and play mat? Did you like our baby baseball bat? Do you like our baby rattle?
These messages will not include any promotional content and do not require prior consent when sent by email or text message. We have a legitimate interest to do so as this helps make our products or services more relevant to you.
Of course, you are free to opt out of receiving these requests from us at any time by updating your preferences in your online account.
We collect data to build an image of who you are, why you are buying our toys or baby activity gym and playmat. If we know that you are buying for a baby shower, we might follow up 6 months later with toys suited to babies three to 5 months old. We’ll do this on the basis of our legitimate business interest.
How we protect your personal data
We know how much data security matters to all our customers. We are also following legislative developments which support customer rights. We will treat your data with the care and take all appropriate steps to protect it.
We will work with trusted payment partners and make sure you have secure access to all transactional areas of our website.
How long will we keep your personal data for?
Whenever we collect or process your personal data, we’ll only keep it for as long as is necessary. Running a baby business, we know that your babies will only be little for a short time, so it makes no sense for us to bombard you with promotions when they have grown up. Our toys are age appropriate, and we would like our ads to be too.
We will decide at our own discretion when your data will either be deleted completely or anonymised, for example by aggregation with other data so that it can be used in a non-identifiable way for statistical analysis and business planning. It makes no sense for us to send you information if you have no desire to read it.
Who do we share your data with?
We would love to say that we don’t share your data, but sometimes we have to but we will only share your data where it is necessary and necessary to manage our business. For example, if you order an activity gym and play mat, we will need to share your address with the courier.
What is perhaps more pertinent for you, is whether we handle your data responsibly, and that is what we will focus on as our business evolves.
What are your rights over your personal data?
You have the right to request:
Access to the personal data we hold about you, free of charge in most cases.
The correction of your personal data when incorrect, out of date or incomplete.
The deletion of the data we hold about you, in specific circumstances; for example, when you withdraw consent or object, and we have no legitimate overriding interest, or once the purpose for which we hold the data has come to an end (such as the end of a warranty).
A computer file in a common format (CSV or similar) containing the personal data that you have previously provided to us, and the right to have your information transferred to another entity where this is technically possible.
Restriction of the use of your personal data, in specific circumstances, generally while we are deciding on an objection you have made.
That we stop processing your personal data, in specific circumstances; for example, when you have withdrawn consent, or object for reasons related to your individual circumstances.
That we stop using your personal data for direct marketing (either through specific channels, or all channels).
That we stop any consent-based processing of your personal data after you withdraw that consent.
You can contact us to request to exercise these rights at any time.
If we choose not to action your request, we must explain the reasons for our refusal.
Your right to withdraw consent
Whenever you have given us your consent to use your personal data, you have the right to change your mind at any time and withdraw that consent however please remember that we will only ask you for data where we have a legitimate reason to do so.
Where we think there is a legitimate reason to hold your data
In cases where we are processing your personal data for a legitimate reason. You can ask us to stop for reasons connected to your individual situation. We must then do so however you must understand that in some circumstances this may lead to us not being able to complete the transaction.
You have the right to stop the use of your personal data for direct marketing activity through our media channels and we must always comply with your request.
Checking your identity
We want to protect your confidential information, so we may ask you to verify your identity before proceeding with any requests. If Roger Federer suddenly order 20 baby tennis rackets or Tom Brady suddenly ordered the football gym, we would definitely check his identity. Why? Well, of course, we are big fans of both these starts but let face it, we know Roger’s twins have outgrown sports themed baby toys, and Tom’s wife is not pregnant, so you can understand we would be a little suspicious. We would want to check that it was not someone impersonating him!
If you have authorised a third party to submit a request on your behalf, we will ask them to prove they have your permission to act.
How can you stop us using your data for marketing?

Our aim is to be the number one sports themed toy brand in the world so we want to keep you and your baby happy. Our returns policy is actually one of our strong points, because we want you to tell your friends what a great company Little Sport Star is.
To date we have had a very simple returns policy.
In the event that something is wrong with baby toy, we ask that you let us know. Is it faulty, did it not meet your expectation or the product description?
One person had not appreciated that our baby baseball bat was small enough for a baby to hold and she had bought it for an older child so we reimbursed them.
Where appropriate, send us an e-mail explaining what the issue is. It really helps if you can send a photo or even a video.
We use reputable courtiers and aim to deliver within 4 to 5 working days to anywhere within the UK and USA. For orders to Europe, we aim to deliver within to 10 days but aim to do it in less. We must give up to 15 working days before lodging a complaint/investigation with our courier for parcels not received. We hope you understand.
